Chris Tausanovitch

I am an Associate Professor of political science at the University of California - Los Angeles. I received my PhD from Stanford University in 2013. My areas of research are Representation, American Politics, Public Opinion, Congress, and Methodology. In particular, I am interested in understanding how citizens shape the incentives that legislators face and how legislators respond to those incentives. In other words, I do research in order to better understand the mechanics of democratic representation.

In 2012 I worked on the Senate Finance Committee as an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow.
